Cellulite is a problem for 90% of women worldwide. While some women do not regularly have cellulite, it is very likely that they will experience it at one point in their lives. Many factors increase the likelihood of contracting these skin dimples such as weight, diet, hormone levels, and stress levels. Preventive measures and ways to diminish cellulite do exist, however.
Weight Loss Diet
Having a diet rich in fiber, high in water intake, and loaded with fresh fruits and vegetables is beneficial in avoiding or treating cellulite. Consuming too much fat, carbohydrates, and salt lead to high levels of weight gain and dimples on the thighs, hips, and buttocks.
Many pills exist that assist in losing weight. While not all of these pills are proven to be effective and while physicians recommend a natural diet, some of them have proven effective for some women. These pills block the reception of too much fat from entering the body and promote the excretion of unhealthy lipids. Of course, women slim down as a result of diet pills and their cellulite diminishes.
It is believed that massages assist in breaking down the fat cells that cause cellulite by promoting lymphatic flow. It is important to note, however, that these massages must be received consistently in order to generate results.
As previously mentioned, high-stress levels contribute to the appearance of cellulite. The hormone cortisol is released in stressed individuals. This hormone results in poor sleep patterns, high blood sugar levels, and a lack of motivation to move or exercise. Massages promote the breaking down of fat in the body, but they also reduce stress levels in individuals.
Exercise and Plenty of Water
It is no secret that a diet consisting of a lot of water consumption is beneficial in breaking down cellulite. Water stimulates the digestive system and the molecules that make up water break down fat in general. Exercise helps a woman maintain a healthy weight, firms areas in which cellulite is most apparent, and maintains stress and hormone levels.
In conclusion, plenty of tools exist to combat cellulite. While some of these tools are not guaranteed solutions, exercise and a healthy diet is the most effective way to prevent and treat cellulite. Partaking in activities that reduce stress is beneficial as well.
